About the Role
The Service Advisor plays a pivotal role in strengthening client relationships, ensuring that clients stay aligned with their long-term goals after completion of the onboarding process with our team. This role supports that effort by reinforcing recommendations, facilitating engagement, and addressing questions or changes as they arise. Core responsibilities include guiding clients through key decisions, encouraging follow-through on planning strategies, and confirming that recommendations remain appropriate as client circumstances evolve.
This position plays a key role in identifying opportunities within existing relationships and deepening client engagement rather than focusing on new business development or prospecting. It is well-suited for a professional who values relationship-building and takes pride in helping clients stay on track and make measurable progress toward financial milestones. The role operates within a collaborative, client-centric team environment and works closely with internal planners, service associates, and external professionals to support positive outcomes while delivering ongoing value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support client meetings, including preparation, clear communication, real-time decision support, and timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, meeting notes, and follow-up tasks.
- Coordinate with planning staff, external professionals, and other advisors in an ensemble-based approach to support timely, accurate deliverables.
- Help clients navigate key decisions and identify new opportunities with existing clients.
- Ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and aligned with firm standards.
Qualifications
- CFP® certification, equivalent designation, or having met the CFP experience requirement.
- 3–7 years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally with client-facing exposure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a comfort level engaging directly with clients.
- FINRA Series 7 and 65 preferred; Series 6/63 acceptable alternatives. Insurance license (life/health) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; proactive and detail oriented.
- Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools and processes including financial planning software, CRM systems, and general Microsoft office platforms.

Location: In-Person Position (Office in Timonium, MD) with hybrid and flexible work schedule opportunity after introductory period (3-6 months)
