A Michael Bentley Kelen, CFA,CFP®

Michael is the Director of Financial Services for our team and a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative with Equity Services, Inc. offering securities in Maryland. He is also insurance licensed in Maryland and Virginia. He originally joined the team in 2011 as a field financial advisor. He now works internally with the team monitoring investments, reviewing client data, and researching new products and strategies to make sure the team is providing their clients with the most up-to-date and appropriate solutions.

Mike was born and raised in Baltimore and is a graduate of St Paul’s School, where he continues to be an active alumnus. He graduated from Bates College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and also studied Premedical Sciences. During high school and college, he was a two-year varsity golf captain and a four-year golf starter for Bates College. He continues to participate in Maryland’s golf community, playing in amateur local and state events.

Mike previously worked as a health care finance intern at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed research internships in the Departments of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bayview Medical Center. These research programs gave him the opportunity to become a published co-author in medical literature. Outside of the office, Mike enjoys golf, skiing, squash, guitar, fishing, and taking part in community service.
