Rob Uhlig is the Owner and Virtual CIO of Securium IT Solutions and, as of December 2025, will be partnering with Sortino Financial Group in a more formal capacity as Director of Innovation & Efficiency. In this role, Rob will partner closely with the team to enhance operational efficiency, modernize technology, and streamline internal processes—allowing our team to focus maximum time and energy on helping our clients.
Rob brings more than two decades of experience in financial services technology and operations. Prior to founding Securium IT Solutions in late 2023, he served as Director of Technology & Operations and Principal at 1919 Investment Counsel, LLC, a Stifel Financial subsidiary. There, he oversaw investment operations, client account maintenance, and firm-wide technology while serving on the Operating Committee and helping guide strategic direction. Earlier in his career, Rob held senior technology and relationship management roles at Legg Mason and Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo), leading major initiatives including trading technology implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and enterprise support operations. He began his career at Legg Mason in 1999 as a Corporate Technology Trainee, contributing to the firm’s Y2K conversion.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Salisbury University. He lives in Lutherville with his wife and three children and is actively involved in community and youth sports. Rob serves as Chairman of the Lacrosse Advisory Board for the Maryland Lacrosse League, is a team manager and player in a 40+ club lacrosse league, and is an assistant coach for the Shuckers 2032 boys club lacrosse team. In his free time, he enjoys racing cars, golfing, snowboarding, and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens.
